Olive trees and citrus groves on the "gorgeous" grounds of this hotel "take you to Italy", though this "romantic" resort has a "perfect location in the desert" of Southern California, and fans say it represents "the epitome of old-Hollywood-style luxury"; yet it may not be exclusive enough, since it can get "busy", the "small" pool area becomes "overcrowded" and the spa "fully booked", plus some snap this "old structure" is closer to the "level of a motel" than to a resort.

Grounds were beautiful.

Sauna did not work, book in room was not accurate and we missed a late dinner.

Resort was nice we just had some bad things happen. They credited 1/2 the resort fee to accommodate. Overall I would recommend.

Resort Fee - $25 not described.

My only complaint is our refrigerator didn't work and they brought a replacement refrigerator that also didn't work. The card key for the room was also intermittently not working.

Great food.

Everything but the food. Especially did not like the $25 a day resort fee.

The entire resort smelled like moldy grass clippings. Housekeeping would constantly call to ask to clean our room. I asked what the fee was for and they told me: Coffee in the room (you know that stuff thats in every hotel room), internet, and self parking. Staff was excellent!

Small closet, ice machine was not close to our room.

The Miramonte was an excellent value in addition to being comfortable and eye-appealing. The staff went out of their way to serve you promptly and courteously.
